Connected by the Dike-New Hartford Community School District, these two neighboring communities offer their own versions of small-town Iowa living, both within easy reach of Waterloo and Cedar Falls.

Located in Grundy County, Dike has a surprising amount of recreation for its size. Residents have access to the local swimming pool, parks, athletic facilities, and Fox Ridge Golf Club, while nearby Grundy County Lake offers space for fishing, walking, and enjoying the outdoors. Local businesses and established neighborhoods round out a community with plenty happening close to home.

Just to the northeast in Butler County, New Hartford has earned its nickname, the City of Gardens. Public gardens, parks, and community spaces reflect the work of local volunteers and organizations over the years. It's a town where residents have quite literally helped shape the landscape.

Though each community has its own personality, both offer a quieter setting with the conveniences of the larger Cedar Valley just down the road.
