Waterloo
A City with History, Character, and Plenty Going On.

Located along the Cedar River, Waterloo is the largest city in the Cedar Valley, with deep industrial roots, a diverse community, and neighborhoods that reflect generations of growth and change. John Deere has long been part of the city's identity, but Waterloo's character extends well beyond its manufacturing history.
There's plenty to explore here, too. The Grout Museum District, Waterloo Center for the Arts, and Phelps Youth Pavilion bring history, art, and hands-on experiences into everyday life. Downtown's riverfront connects restaurants, entertainment, and cultural spaces, while parks and trails offer opportunities to get outside. Hockey with the Waterloo Black Hawks, summer baseball with the Waterloo Bucks, and both Lost Island parks add to the mix.
From historic homes and established neighborhoods to newer developments, Waterloo offers a variety of places to call home, each with its own character.
